Stephen K. Mcintyre
President
The president of MG Forensic Accounting & Investigations Inc., Stephen McIntyre is responsible for the management and coordination of a broad base of assignments including fraud detection, asset tracing, and insurance loss valuation. He has extensive experience in the assessment of Automobile Accident Income Replacement Benefits.
Mr. McIntyre has combined his experience working with a medium-sized, audit-based public accounting firm with the professional knowledge and discourse acquired while conducting numerous investigations in a variety of white-collar crimes during his employment in the law enforcement sector. He has provided services relevant to the identification of proceeds of crime, asset identification and seizure, litigation support, and loss quantification for the insurance industry and private sector.
A former Sergeant/Detective with the Toronto Police Service, Stephen McIntyre was responsible for the investigation and prosecution of fraud, forgery, and commercial crime. During his time with the Fraud Squad he was a member of the Joint Operational Forces team "Project 80" which conducted criminal probes into allegations of municipal corruption in Southern Ontario. As a member of the Toronto Police Auto Squad, Detective McIntyre investigated auto theft rings that victimized the insurance industry.
Mr. McIntyre has provided witness evidence on numerous occasions in civil and criminal proceedings involving fraud, theft, secret commissions, breach of trust, and other criminal offenses.
As a member of a medium-sized audit based accounting firm, his duties included, but were not limited to, auditing, internal control systems and document processing reviews.
Stephen McIntyre is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the Canadian Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. McIntyre has a BA in Economics from York University, has completed the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute, Computer Crime Investigative Techniques with the Canadian Police College, and Senior Fraud Investigative Techniques while studying at the Ontario Police College.
Mr. McIntyre has lectured on fraud detection and prevention at the Metropolitan Toronto Police and Ontario Police Colleges, various Provincial Ministry offices, financial institutions, and to members of the insurance and corporate communities.
